It seems that my encoding speed is suddenly extremley low. Im sure im using the same profile (HQ-Slow) and filters.

Take a look at here: the last two jobs are suddenly much slower than the other.

My MeGUI HQ-Slow first pass speed is something between 4-=60 fps.

However, i have merged two vob files with this dos prompt: copy /b "1.vob" + "2.vob" "total.vob" and created a d2v file. The total.vob had the same quality and no sync issues :)

However, when i encode this with MeGUI, the first pass is only 3-10 fps, thats >6 times as slow. Is there something wrong in merging vob files with the dos prompt?

I tried to start this job several times, and the first pass is still ~6 fps. :(

Does someone know if this has something to do with merging the vob files?

Allright, i did it without merging the files, and i still get ~12 fps.

With all my previous encoding with this profile i got ~40-60 fps.

Is there something wrong with my settings? Or is it possible that a particular vob file encodes 4x slower..

Is the avisynth script more complicated this time?

Extremely unlikely - chances are you are using different settings, either in x264 options or the AVS script. If you have a multicore system are you using the right number of threads?

Im even using the same AVS script.. And settings are the same.. Im using the HQ-Slow profile and changing the threads to two and using bitrate calculator.

Maybe a reboot could help.

do your vob files have the same resolution?

Yes, they have....

The problems arent with that merged file only, but with EVERY file... I just rebooted. I hope something is wrong with my profiles. Ill reinstall MeGUI.

Here u can see my speed of HQ-Slow. As u can see, the last two much slower than the other. Sometimes i forgot to turn off Kaspersky.
