View Full Version : How can I "fix" files that won't play on my 642 player?

Hi,

I've got a disc of encodes of a TV show. There are a couple episodes that show a black screen but I can hear the audio and there are a couple that try to play, then just skip right over. This is on my Philips 642. The files play fine on a Philips 3040. So I'm guessing there's something in the file itself that isn't compatible with my 642?

I'm also guessing I'll need to use MPEG4 Modifier to "fix" the problem. But I have no idea what I'm looking for to fix or how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

(Not sure if this is the right category to post in...)

Hi!

For each of the episodes that are problematic, please state the format, settings and the procedures you used to create them...
