I'm using Megui
This file have many pictures which show filter 0:0 is better . Is there a case which I should not use the filter ?

Deblocking filter also seem to be a removing noise filter ?

I re-encoded a H264 file without deblocking filter. I found that don't using deblcoking filter is also a good choice but I'm not sure because I'm trouble in this problem (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=870492)

I found that If I use the filter, MPC will use 100%CPU for playing the file.
Undot isnot better than the filter( internal filter of x264) but if using undot, MPC will not use 100%CPU , only 78% .

Are there some filters(remove noise) is as good as, or better than deblocking filter ?

Thank you very much !

encode with deblocking.
if your PC is too slow to fully decode AVC, use CoreAVC and disable deblocking on playback.

Far as I can tell deblocking deblocks - the names don't normally represent the funtion but in this case it does. So if your file has blocks all over it, use a deblocker. If not use a normal noise filter.

http://research.graphicon.ru/video-filtering/smart-removal-of-blocking-effects-from-video-3.html
"The filter is intended for high quality recovering visual quality of video compressed using convetional block-transform-based codecs (for example, video ripped from DVD, VideoCD or after decompressing by H.261, H.263, H.264, DivX, XviD, etc). The algorithm is intended on decreasing the blocking artifacts together with damaged objects' edges restoration."

Does any of you guys know where I can download a good deblocking filter for AviSynth (for MPEG2 :)?
Thanks in advance

try searching for blockbuster or use the dgmpgdec embedded deblocking filter.

Thanks! (I'm not hijacking here)
Edit: but some people prefer DeBlock_QED_MT2. I was just wondering where I can download it and if there are some prerequisites (it seems there are).
Thanks in advance.
