I just want to play DVB captures, without spending time creating a DVD.

Hi!

Yes, the Philips DVP 642/37 is one of many. However, some of the players may not display the resolution correctly...

Both my Pioneer DV-575A and Zensonic Z500 can... And no problems with aspect ratios and resolutions here!
