Hey, I was wondering if there's a detailed guide on GPRMs anywhere? (especially with reference to DVD Maestro). I've been using them for a while and there's still alot I don't know or even understand (may be appartent from previous posts). I'm teaching a new guy how to use DVDMaestro and I don't have a huge amount of time to teach him.

There is very little reference material that I can find, apart from the manual. Which is good, but I feel doesn't cover it all and can be a bit vague on some complicated commands. I think probably the main issue is not seeing enough common examples or how they're set up. Any help?

Mpucoder has detailed info on his site - very good explanations of every VM command. Also have a look at www.dvd-replica.com

Note - DVD Maestro is an abstraction layer tool.
You can only use e.g. GPRM_0 to GPRM_7
You dont have direct access to pre- and postcommands, Command sequences in Maestro are different from commands finally used on the DVD rewritten by the abstration layer.

Neither you can use all the commands described on mpucoders site or dvd-replica such as jumps to domains (VMG, VTSM or VTS_TT) nor do you have impact where commands appears in the final compilation.

Cheers guys, I'll have a look at those sites. I'll try and learn all I can, so maybe, one day, I can write a "definitive" guide with some good examples. More information always welcome.

GPRMs are just General Purpose registers. Their use depends on authoring application (author).
