HD on DVD how to encode & what authoring software to use.

Dear Everyone, I just found out that it is possible to encode in HD & fit it into a DVD(4.35gb) & being able to play it on regular DVD Player's. So firstly what should I use to encode any to HD (what HD setting's to use ?) & how to Author a HD on DVD(Is it possible to use DVD Lab Pro 2.0 ?). Please help & thank you.

I'm fairly sure that's false. You can fit HD footage on a regular dvd (not a lot of it) but it won't play on your dvd player.
(I'm happy to be corrected on this matter though.)
