Embedding your ac3 streams in WAV, you should be able to use any audio burners...if I understand your request.

Embedding is not necessary, because 44.1KHz PCM-WAVs are needed on a Audio-CD, another way is to burn an ISO-DVD and place the naked AC3 (48KHz) tracks on it.
One problem stays: I´ve found only one standalone player which replays AC3 on ISO-DVD and AC3WAVs on Audio-CD flawless -> KiSS players, maybe you know some more companies which offer support for such exotic formats :(

Take a look at DVDlab(Pro), in the "audio mode" (little button over the tree showing a speaker) are such project easy to realize :p

I never mentioned Audio-CD...;) I just thought about this trick : open a video stream (or avs script) with VDM, adjust "Direct Stream Copy" and add your AC3 track via Streams --> Stream list. Then, save the stream as "Save WAV". Now, we should be able to burn this track on DVDs as CD-A or I'm wrong ?
But you are probably right concerning standalone players...I missed this point.

I understand you to mean you want to create a DVD disc with audio that plays on any DVD player, not just a DVD-A player.
If so, then yes, this is possible. You'll find several guides around the net for this. Many refer to it as a an audio-only DVD-Video disc as a way of differentiating it from DVD-A.
Basically, the audio is interleaved with still photos or blank graphics in the VIDEO_TS folder of the disc just like a regular DVD. The audio has to be resampled to 48kHz if it's currently at 44.1kHz. As daphy mentioned, DVD Lab Pro has an audio only mode. It's also commercial software. You can also create audio-only DVDs with the freeware GUI for dvdauthor (http://www.videohelp.com/~GFD/) as explained here (file:///F:/Video/Program%20Files/GUI%20for%20dvdauthor/help/AudioTitleset.html). Note that this supports AC3 and mp2 audio but not full PCM. You could still do PCM audio with GUI for dvdauthor, but you'd have to do the encoding manually.

Steve.

yes. :)
only to be sure: it's not to play in HT or pc but need to be AC3.
i don't like the sound of soundblaster in pc and i'm using dvd player(dolby digital decoder built in)to 6 amplifiers via RCA.the audio have to be AC3 5.1(with LFE),this is the best option that i have to 5.1 and sounds really good.
are DVDlab(Pro) or dvdauthor the options that i need to encode/burn and listen in my "sound system"?
thank you all.

I was going to check out Muxman when I read about it elsewhere but now they have changed it from completely free to a scheme where you have to purchase a subscription to a service before downloading it and then the subscription runs out after 6 months. What I like about the GUI for DVDAuthor package is that it's completely, 100% free, and it seems to produce good results.
