Smooth Deinterlacer crash in AviSynth 2.5.x

My name is Reginaldo, from Brazil and I'm testing some deinterlacers to find out what is better/faster, and I liked Smooth Deinterlacer results, it's good and fast. The problem is that the two versions I tested (20060620 and 20030218) downloaded from avisynth.org crash with AviSynth (both 2.5.5 and 2.5.6). The only version it worked is 1.4 modified to work with AviSynth 2.5, but this is not good, since I read from homepage that 1.4 is for 2.0, and it doesn't recognize YV12 colorspace. I really would like to use the last version of Smooth Deinterlacer (1.5.4) and AviSynth (2.5.6), can somebody help me?
