Deinterlacing a video file that's all interlaced

It's a PAL,25fps,interlaced MTV. Each frame has been interlaced. I've used all the field operations provided by the GordianKnot, but none of them could satisfy me. Could anyone introduce some other methods to me?

100fps is incredibly outdated when it comes to deinterlacing. It was written years ago, during which the state of the art in avisynth has advanced considerably. (Motion Compensation is now routine.)

You can insert into your gordian knot script one of the new ones: leakkerneldeint, tdeint, securedeint, mvbob, which should all be much stronger than fielddeinterlace.

True, but the facts about interlacing have not changed, and one can still learn the basic language there (like what is field, bob or motion compensation)... Therefore it is still a good place to start. Without reading it first, I woldn't probably have understood the docs for many Avisynth filters...

Or do you know a more up do date place where a newbie can learn it?

Look at the Avisynth external filters page and you'll find Decomb package (Neuron) which includes Kernel, Fielddeinterlace, Telecide or you can try Tomsmocomp which I have great success with.

Virtualdub has internal deinterlacers like Area-based and Smart which are discussed on the 100fps page.
