Dvd error in everything..........

I burnt a movie on verbatim disc
then tryed Tdk or something

error I/o bla de bla

now i have bought more verbatim discs thinking
all wud be fine and dandy

but NO
error error
ahhhhhhhhhhh... i tried burning data as well as dvd but just error... error error

am going mad... the only difference i can think is that
i usually use verbatim8x and these are 16x
wud
that be the root of the problem??
what else can i do??

You can provide us with the error messages.
What burning program are you using?
What type of burner and is the firmware up to date?
Can you post a log?
