Thanks to the members of Doom Forum. After the member allowed me to resolve the ripping issue, another proble has cropped up.
The audio is out of sync in the avi file. The vobs are in sync.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Common problem with a common solution. Correct with VirtualDubMod, or rip the disk first with RipIt4Me.

Thanks CWR03.
The movie in question is my copy of 'Inside Man' . From the forum, I used RipIt4Me and after the avi was created. Tried to fix it with VirtualDubMod. Did Not work either. But one thing, when DGIndex opened up, the status info in the DGIndex window said 'Block Error'. Is that good?

In what mode?

A block error indicates a corruption, meaning something may have gone wrong during the rip. I can't hazard a guess until you report back about which mode you used to rip the disk.

I've had the problem, as I mentioned in another thread, just recently, with the newest beta of AutoGK. (I never had that problem with AGK before.) In all cases I never saw an error message. Videos mostly ripped with Fab. If I burned the ripped video to another DVD, or play from hard drive, it plays perfectly in sync. Only the .avi created with AGK is out of sync.
How do you fix it with Vdubmod?
Could this be a bug in the newest beta?

I ripped the DVD using RipIt4Me in Wizard Mode. My DVD Decrypter was set to File Mode to generate the vob files. Once the avi file was created, I used the VirtualDubMod option using Video->Framerate->Change so that audio and video duration match.
The audio still precedes the video. CWR03, I did this even before I posted the thread . I saw the posts by Blutach and SetARip in the decrypting section of the forum before I posted them here. I try to be aware of the rules in the forum as much as possible.

Instead of using that feature, you need to adjust the audio delay. After you load the file, click Streams > Stream list, right-click the audio and select Interleaving. Enter a value in the "Delay audio by" box, click all the OK's, then save in direct copy mode with a new, unique filename and check. It may take a few tries to get it right.
You might also try ripping the disk in ISO mode using RipIt4Me, then mount it with a virtual drive and open that with AutoGK.

or try getting your hands on Fairuse Wizard 2.5 and ALL your sound sync issues will magically dissapear, oh and for reference it's always a good idea to RIP in ISO mode as a general rule,

The difficulty with that would be how to know what value to enter. One might easily hear/see that the video and audio are out-of-sync, but it would be hard for me to tell how many milliseconds off it is. Unless one is very good at that sort of thing, looking at an out-of-sync video and knowing what that time difference is, it could be quite difficult to judge that correctly.

Kindly consult numbers 1a and 8 here (http://forum.doom9.org/forum-rules.htm).
As I recently wrote to a moderator in a PM, I've never seen any other forum with so much discussion of rules, accusations that members are breaking them, deletion of posts, etc.
I responded directly to the post quoted above before, but my response seems to have been deleted.

I can find no record of a deleted post in this thread.

It's just guesswork, and it requires very little time. It's about as much trouble as ripping an episodic DVD in .IFO mode to get individual files to solve your other problem (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=868954#post868954).

I never saw a response either. Perhaps you closed the browser window instead of clicking "Post Reply" as I have done before.

Gang,
When I run into a audio sync problem I take the same movie and use an old program called MPEG Mediator. The author does some sort of magic, because it works.
Here is the only place I know of that you still can get it.
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/MPEG_Mediator.htm (http://http://www.free-codecs.com/download/MPEG_Mediator.htm)
Be sure to use version 1.5.
