How to recreate VIDEO_TS.IFO

I tried to take a backup of a DVD and it presented a lot of problems while backing up. Atleast I was able to backup the first title. So, DVD decrypter created the following files.

VTS_01_0.IFO, VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VOB, VTS_01_3.VOB, DEFAULT.PLS

When I try to burn this using Nero Burning ROM, it shows me an error message and dies. I am thinking that the lack of Video_TS.IFO is creating these errors.

Can anyone tell me how to burn this title onto a DVD?

Well, one thing that certainly does not belong is PowerDVD's Default.PLS. Get rid of that.

Use IfoEdit (http://ifoedit.wh.fr0zen.com/)'s creaste IFOs function to recreate your IFOs. Or the free version of DVDFab to create a video manager.

Thank you. I used IFOEdit to recreate the IFO file(s). Just wondering what causes the PLS to get generated.

You must have a setting in PowerDVD configured to save the playlist in the ripped folder. Starange and not good.

As far as I can tell, PowerDVD always creates a playlist in the directory containing .VOB files when they're played with said program. If it can be turned off I can't find it.

Yet another rerason to avoid using it! Use Media Player Classic instead! :)

Hasn't happened to me CWR03 - I have found PLS files in My Docs\Cyberlink\PowerDVD and in Docs & Settings\My username
