I am trying to encode one movie and am getting a 705 MB AVI. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling XVID and have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling AutoGK and none have fixed the problem. I have also tried installing the latest beta update to AutoGK and that did not help either.

Now, when I have done 2 CD rips I have ran into an issue where I've gotten slightly oversized files. Would the issue above be related to that known issue in the FAQ? I listed the issue as stated in the FAQ below:

6.2 When splitting into 2/3CDs I get a small (2-4Mb) additional chunk.
- it happens because key frame was found too distant from 700Mb border and AutoGK cannot split dynamically into 701/702 Mb chunks. This happens sometimes. May be in the future I'll make more intelligent split procedure.

It is only this one movie that I am having issues with. Most other movies seem to output to 700 MB fine. So I am thinking it is related to the issue that is mentioned in the FAQ.

Would it be possible to burn a 705 MB file to a CD? If so then I won't worry about it being slightly oversized.

Try it and see; otherwise try setting AutoGK to output a 695MB file.

I think I am going to do that. I just thought it was interesting that it just started doing this for me. Could be my current installation of XP, who knows. Cause I know it has worked in the past. And I just tried a different movie and got a 704 MB file so something is happening and making a miscalculation. So I'll just use the 695 MB idea. If all else fails I can always use good ol' normal GKnot. Thanks.

705 MBs are easy to overburn... just enable/set the overburn option(s) in your CD recording software.
