How does the quality of Nero h.263 (not considering h.264 here) compare with similar codecs such as XVID and DIVX, for a similar file size?

1) Nero ASP, XviD and DivX are MPEG4 ASP codec and not H263. H263 is an another codec from ITU. MPEG4 ASP can use simply the same quantisation type than H263.

2) Nero say that the next implementation for Nero ASP will be really better than actual ASP version. Anyway the actual ASP codec (Nero 7.2) done IMO very good result with very good speed.

Do you consider Nero 7 ASP as good as XVID and DIVX? Better?

read the comparisons and test it by yourself.
