How to use fixed bitrate in x264 codec on small part in video file, to gain more quality in mail movie?

Example. I want to use 100 kbps bitrate in first 3 minutes of the video file, and 80 kbps in last 5 minutes of video file.

Main movie(which lasts about 1 hour and 27 minutes) should use 1000 kbps or more.

When you open your AVS/AVI in MeGUI, the preview window pops up. You will notice buttons labeled "Credits" and "Intro".

Scrub to the end of this part that you want to encode at lower bitrate, and select "intro". Then scrub to the start of the credits and click the credits button.

Then, in the codec configuration, you can select (I think) constant quantizers for those sections, and / or select "weights" for those sections - i.e. a weight of 0.5 for the intro and credits, and a weight of 1.0 for the movie.

ehr... intro is for Intro... and credits is for Credits. Dont use them for different parts of the movie.
In the codec config window there is a "Zones" tab that contains all the required controls for what you need.

Oh, I see. But, what is better to use: constant quantization or "weights"? Explain that, please?

I have capture from TV card(about 1h and 35 minutes in length). What you guys recommend me to do, what settings. Resolution of output will be 576x432.

CQ will simply encode that section at that quantizer (ie you set an absolute quality), whereas weighting will increase the bitrate allocation to the section (is you set a relative bitrate increase).
