I installed the K-Lite Codec Pack, and it screwed up everything. It gave lots of messages about Real Player and stuff being corrupted. So I uninstalled the K-Lite Codec pack, and now I can't use Real Player. So I try to reinstall Real Player, and this is what I get:

System Restore didn't do anything...

Try rebooting your machine, uninstalling and then reinstalling Real Player. Sometimes the operating system holds on to objects and they can't be changed. Specially so if there was a crash involved.

I would have uninstalled Real Player before you installed Real Alternative.

RealPlayer has the worst (un)installer ever.

Delete the following registry keys and the installer work again:
"HKCR\Software\RealNetworks"
"HKCU\Software\RealNetworks"
"HKLM\Software\RealNetworks"
"HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\RealPlayer 6.0"

OMG, I cannot believe that it's still dong it.

clsid: I couldn't find that last registry key.

You know what guys, just don't worry about it. I already am getting a new computer anyway, so it doesn't matter.
