Hi,

Set Up:

Episodic DVD, DVDD rip, RB Pro 1 Click Mode, Encode w/ HC, Best Quality, Create ISO, Automatically Burn w/ ImgBrn. Ran overnight, in morning found ImgBrn open but advising DVD +RW was full and could it erase? Clicked yes. ImgBrn went
to 100% complete-Synchronising Cache, and then...

The Following Error Message popped up:

Synchronise Cache Failed!

Device: [1:1:0]_NEC DVD_RW ND-2500A 1.06(F:) (ATA)

Reason: Write Error

{Retry} {Cancel}

I clicked on {Retry} and it went to Verifying Sectors. Before it even reached 1% complete I got...

I/O Error

Device: [my burner]

ScsiStatus: 0x02
Interpretation: Check Condition

CDB: 28 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 01 00
Interpretation: Read (10) - Sector: 0

Sense Area: F0 00 03 00 00 00 00 0A 00 00 00 00 11 00 00 00 00 00
Interpretation: Unrecovered Read Error

I clicked try again and error came back in a couple of seconds. I tried {Continue} and error kept coming back with the 00 before the 0A above indexing by one number each time.

What do I do now?

Try formatting the disk first. If that fails, try a different disk.

Hi,
OK. Can you advise how to format a disk? I have Roxio 6 which came with my DVD burner but can't find a way to format with that.

It's done automatic when you burn if not already formatted.

In ImgBurn, click Tools -> Drive -> Erase -> Full.

You could really do with updating the firmware on your drive. It will add support for media your current one doesn't support.

1.0A is the latest one.
