Guys
I have a Hitachi DVD Player. Making my Backup, I used DVD+R and Sony 16X Disks. Ok, here's the rub: If I burn the ISO File with DVD Decryptor, the backup can be played with the Hitachi Player. If I burn the ISO File with Nero 6, the backup doesn't play.
Anyone else have this problem or is there something I am doing wrong with Nero 6?

Without knowing what you did in Nero, it's hard to know if you're doing something wrong. :)
An ISO file is a disc image file. If you tell Nero to burn a data DVD then drag the .iso file onto it, this will not play. If you select the option to burn a disc image, then direct it to the ISO file, it should work.
If you put the Nero-burned DVD in your PC, does it play?

Yes, the DVD plays on the PC and my wifes portable DVD Player. It just won't play on my main Entertainment TV Center DVD Player.

What type of files are on the burned disc? IFO? VOB? BUP?

Hi!Yes, the DVD plays on the PC and my wifes portable DVD Player. It just won't play on my main Entertainment TV Center DVD Player. Then it's likely just a matter of media/player incompatibility.
Try using different brands of burnable media - and burn at a low speed (e.g. 2X or 4X)...

Here again, it only doesn't play if Nero 6 burns the DVD. If DVD Decryptor is used to burn the DVD, it plays wonderfully, not 1 single problem.
I have been burning at Max speed, I will slow it down and experiment further.. got alot of dead DVD';s, any suggestions for uses?? Doghouse wallpaper?

As some one said at another forum, Nero isn't fit to burn rags!
You might also want to give ImgBurn a try.

What I do to burn image files with Nero is to mount them with DameonTools and then copy the virtual DVD with Nero (choose "copy dvd" in Nero, not "video DVD").
Works for me and it's never wrong to have Daemon Tools installed, it's a magic program for any kind of disc images!

As always, theReal's advice is rock solid. Daemon is a wonderful tool and I remember the days when the procedure he describes was the only way I could accomplish some of my goals.
I've also burned many backups with Nero 6 and never once had a failure other than the occasional faulty disc. When you first pull Nero 6 up, exit out of the "New Compilation" pane that pops into the center of the interface by default, and go to the menu bar and select "Recorder > Burn Image". Next, navigate to and load your .iso file. If these are the steps you've already used, I'd be suspicious of a corrupted install of Nero 6 and look to an uninstall/reinstall procedure for my fix.
theReal--where have you been? You should drop in on Noobs more often. :)
