Running a new system and noticed that FairUse is not running at 100% usage. I was wondering what would cause this?
Asus P4C800-E DLX
Intel P4 3.2C MHz 512KB/800fsb w/HT
OCZ DDR400
Windows XP Pro running on 500GB P-ATA 7200rpm 8MB Cache.
Runs at about 60%.
Thank You For Your Help. :searched:

HT. Fairuse is not multithreaded - but you're probably using 90% of your real cpu anyway, HT gives more like 5-25% than a full 100% more, so you can't believe windows' load reports.

Thanks for the reply.
I set affinity on FU.exe to one cpu which made that cpu work at 100%. but slowed Fairuse down.

You might also try turning off HT and see if it makes a difference. HT is not two CPUs rather one that acts like two.
I have not had good success with HT and turned it off on all equipment.
