View Full Version : How to remove a Trailer at the beginning of a DVD?

Hello,

I'm trying to back up a DVD that has a trailer for another movie playing right after you insert the DVD.

To get rid of it, I usually just blank the specific PGC with Vobblanker. With this DVD however, that Trailer is also added at the DVD's specials section, and I would like to keep it there.

So since I can't blank it (because then it wouldn't be accessible through the specials menu), I was wondering if it's possible to edit the .ifo files to prevent it from playing at the beginning?
The problem is I don't really know how to do that :o. I tried to open the VIDEO_TS.IFO with IfoEdit but there are so many things there that I don't know where to look or what to change.

Can anyone help me with that or is that too difficult for a poor newbie like me?

Thanks,
Hage

You should use Pgcedit.
You can edit the First Play to your need.

To elaborate - use the Jump to PGC Upon DVD Insert function.
