hi,
I use megui for dvd to x264 mp4 conversion. The source dvd is r3 re-issued shaw brothers dvd, which is 29.997 fps ntsc interlaced, i encoded it using megui, quality of rip was good, but after sometime , one of my friends told me that these dvd's were converted to ntsc from pal master, so proper way of encoding them would be at 25fps, using something like repal or someother avisynth plugin, please can anyone help me with this, how to do this in megui...???

Create your avisynth script, open megui, click the button to load an avisynth script, select your script, set your settings and encode.

No. Standards conversion is an area the MeGUI has not touched yet and may never, especially for restoration. It's a very complex topic, you have to determine how it was originally converted and apply the correct filters to reverse the conversion, which oten have to be tweaked greatly per video. Please, search the avisynth forum for standards conversion and formulate your own script, then follow Neddy's advice.

Or, if the quality is already good for you, accept it and don't even open this can of worms.
