How to deinterlace a video source?

Hello!

I am new at AutoGK and AviSynth 2.5. I have a video source that is interlaced and I'm trying to deinterlace it so movements won't be jerky/shakey. Can anyone tell me how to deinterlace? If so, please keep your response simple because I don't unerstand some of the terminology.
