I'm sure there is someone out there that has a guide for those of us that are converting strictly avi captures to DVD? That means an interlaced file (720x480) or 4:3 at 29.97 fps.
Yes, I have searched this forum and many other places.
There is a great guide on CCE 2.70 at http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/mpg/avi2dvdr.htm but I'm easliy confused with the jumping back and forth between CBR on the first pass and VBR to subsequent 2 passes compared to just 3 VBR passes.
I'm looking for the best quality output and time is not a factor in the compression. I know there are a considerable number of variables for the "best" output but... I need a place to start. I have used bits and pieces of this guide but I seem to have to jump around to other sites, in the CCE manual and I'm hoping someone can help with a basic set up for AVI captures to DVD.
Thanks for the help!
