My girlfriend wanted to take along this movie on her trip to her parent summer cabin.
Well knowing how thing tend to get out of hand i rather give her a copy then the original.

So i tried copying this movie.
but to my suprise, after using DvD fab decrypter.
dvdshrink complained about
Dvd Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue.
Invalid DVD navigation structure.

so already being familiar with this error i switched to vobblanker(the latest)
which also complained saying this

VTS 28: Detected 3 cells in PGCs not referenced in C_ADT
using PGC initial and ending pointers....

A fullscan is recommended

-----

VTS 28: Detected 3 cells with pointers mismatch between VTS_C_ADT and PGC_PBK tables
using VTSM_C_ADT initial and ending pointers....

This is aquite usual in ILV/Multiangle VTSs, but VobBlanker does not support them, except in skop mode

Note : this is not an interleaved VTS

-----

Detected ini/end cell pointers out of range in titles domain
Addected titlesets are:

VTS_28_0.IFO
VTS_29_0.IFO

A fullscan is required: see menu->file->fullscan...

-----

Detected ini/end cell pointers out of range in titles domain
Addected titlesets are:

VTS_28_0.IFO

A fullscan is required: see menu->file->fullscan...

So i did the fullscan and it gave me this.

Some Cells not found in menus

----

Some cells not found in titles

----

at least one critical error scanning titles

----

if i let vobblanker run through the files anyway.
i end up with a movie which is alot smaller and missing the actual movie files.

anybody had a similar issue, or know how to get past it?

Thanks

Hi!

As an alternative, you'll find several solutions for getting a good rip of "Memoirs (not "Memories") of a Geisha by clicking on the folowing link:

Using AnyDVD with VobBlanker (http://jsoto.posunplugged.com/vobblanker.htm) is not what I would recommend. VobBlanker (http://jsoto.posunplugged.com/vobblanker.htm) will highlight such (intentional, by the way) errors, which will simply confuse you, if you don't know what's going on. Best to rip first, as you have been advised.

AnyDVD by itself works just fine. I backed this title up a couple of months ago.

I think blutach means using the DVD as a source in VobBlanker instead of ripping it first (with AnyDVD).
