I've been oulling my hair for a day now trying to get iuVCR to encode MP3 audio while recording.

I've found iuVCR to consume the least CPU and thats why I'm sticking with it.

If I record the audio as PCM 44.1 KHz Stereo I get the expected result, good sync and no choppyness.

But trying to use LAME ACM Codec 0.9.0 Version 3.98 alpha 6
All I get is a quiet MP3 track, no audio at all!

Can anyone please share some wisedom in this subject!:o

Hi!

I'd suggest you stick with capturing the audio as Uncompressed PCM and then taking the few minutes needed to convert to .MP3.

As you've already seen, this will assure that the audio remains in synch with the video. Real-time recording in .MP3 is looking for headaches...

Make sure you selected a compression mode that matches the input audio.

You can also try an older version of the lame acm codec. I've read that the new ones (3.97 & 3.98) are a bit buggy.
