How Can I Close the xvid Status window

I am now programming in DirectShow, and using the xvid encoder filter. but every time i run the filter, the xvid status window comes up. i do not need it at all. can any one tell me a way, which i can use in my code, to close the status window. thx a lot..

If HKCU\Software\GNU\XviD\display_status is set to 0 the window won't pop up.
