bleep out 5 seconds audio in a dvd

I burned a home movie to plain old DVD a few months back, and now I want to bleep out about 5 seconds of audio, then burn a new DVD. What's the easiest way to accomplish this?

I was going to read it with DVD decrypter, then demux (using...?), edit the audio (using...?) then mux it all together again and author a new DVD.

Is that the best way? Which tools should I use for each step? (I can figure out how to use them if I know which ones to use :)
