I tried a few things with PgcEdit but I think this one is a little over my head. I just want to keep the theatrical release and with the method I ususally use, blanking VTSs and killing playback won't work on this one because everything is shared in VTS1 titles 1-4. Has anyone done this DVD just keeping the theatrical release and have some pointers?

I am still learning some of the editing programs and not sure how to do this one.

Hi!

The following new feature of "RipIt4Me" (v.1.4.6.0) mught be just what the doctor ordered, as a first step for your procedures:There is a new movie+menus mode which rips the movie titleset and keeps functional menus, but blanks and bypasses all non-movie titlesets. This will be useful for people who like menus for accessing chapters but don't want to keep extras/previews etc.
In both of the above modes, if your DVD contains a wide-screen and a full-screen version of the same movie, RipIt4Me asks you to pick which one to rip.

I think that will get jm1647 part of the way setarip_old!

However, IIRC, the VTS with the main movie has 3 multi-story titles in it, each with 2 angles. So, jm1647, you will need to find which title is the one you want - play the DVD and note the title number. Then blank the other 2 titles. PgcEdit (http://www.videohelp.com/~r0lZ/pgcedit/index.html)'s del angles (callable from the PGC Editor) will also be of assistance and will enable the DVD to be loaded into VobBlanker (http://jsoto.posunplugged.com/vobblanker.htm) for cleaning.

Well I tried RI4m in wizard mode just menu and movie. The theatrical release is Title 1 from viewing in MPC.
Loaded it into Pgcedit got this

VTST 1,1 TTN1 1:32:42 Title 1
VTST 1,2 TTN2 1:34:55 Title 2
VTST 1,3 TTN1 27:43 Title 3
VTST 1,4 TTN4 1:35:22 Title 4

I deleted all angles in PgcEditor for each Title and saved DVD.

Loaded up in VobBlanker and the entire VTS1 was marked skip.

Loaded back up in PgcEdit and it looked the same as above.

I must be me doing something wrong. I tried to kill the playback on Title 2, 3, 4, but it said can not do it.

I wonder if this is going to need a trace and blank cells from the point at about 11 minutes in to the movie if you choose, the decide the fate option, and pick heads and blank cells and then pick tails and blank the cells.

@setarip_old 1.4.6.0 got me just the movie and menu

@blutach - I musta did something wrong or this bad boy is real tricky.

Thanks to you both

When VobBlanker (http://jsoto.posunplugged.com/vobblanker.htm) loads, it marks everything as skip. Did it give you a message that some VTSs will be marked as skip because of interleave? Otherwise, select VTS 1, and click process on the right hand side. Tick "titles", and tick Use Input folder. Then click Process down the bottom.

You can send me the IFOs after you have deleted angle 2 and I'll take a look, if you like.

@blutach - yup, my bad, I forgot to post that a message did pop up in VobBlanker that it would be marked as skip. I'll hafta try it again and get the popup message from VobBlanker.

@blutach, Thanks for taking a look at the IFOs and the advice\tips!!!
As you know I figured out the blanking of title 2-4 by using the remove cell feature in the PgcEditor :) And removed the angles in title 1 as you said to do. I have the Jump2PGC thing going also, so I just gotta hit one button to play the movie. Cleaned it up in VobBlanker as mentioned in PgcEdit. Used Menu Shrink on the menus, another one cut to the bone, lean and mean :)

Again to r0lZ, jsoto and jeanl :thanks: for the programs !!!!
