Hi, I have a *.3gp file, recorded with a mobile phone, but I canīt view it on my PC, what software do I need to view it?

Other thing, is there a possibility tho put the video and audio stream in an avi file?
So that I can edit it bether.

As for putting it into an avi file for editing, I think you'll have to reencode it to something more appropriate (XviD+mp3 in avi for example). Try mencoder or VLC for that (yes VLC is also capable of encoding audio/video :))

I'm sure the mobile phone's manufacturer offers some software for doing something with the movies the phone produces somehow ...

Maybe you can try winavi (http://www.winavi.com/avi-to-dvd.htm).I just have a try.It can convert my 3gp file to avi successfully. I hope it can work for you too.

Well it appears there are two video tracks (or am I reading it wrongly?) - so you will need to choose which one to put into AVI.
You will be able to put track 2 into avi no troubles, but h264 in avi causes problems.

you could enable 3gp decoding in ffdshow and load the source via Directshowsource(). Just run it through avisynth and your good.
