What's going on when these WMVs slow down and speed up? I'm using Realplayer. If I play them with VLC I get the blurring when I move the time slider. Is there a player that plays these things at the right speed? Using Athlon XP 3200 512 MB cache, 768 MB RAM, Window XP Pro SP2.

Hi!

I have no such problems with the WMVs that I've created.

1) What software and procedures did you use to create your problematic WMVs?

2) What was the source material?

I don't create any WMVs, I DL them from the net. What's your media player?

What's your problem? I DL files that I PAY for and have a membership for on the net at various websites. Thanks for the input.

The problem is quite possibly one of the following:
o that wmv in wmv allows for variable framerate files, and vlc is not handling this correctly
o the required cpu power to decode the video is not available and the system cannot decode at 100% speed.

What do you want my ID and password? Do you want my birth certificate? Thumbprint?

Doesn't matter, I got my question answered somewhere else from someone who knows what they're doing. You jump to conclusions too quickly.

What if I told you I was George Bush, Generel Schwarzkopf or General Tommy Franks and DL my satellite briefings via WMV? Or OJ DL golf lessons via WMV? Or Michael Jackson, well we won't go there.

I can't wait to hear this. Different tune, eh?

I didn't strike him, did i. He had his chance to show that his source is legimate, but he didn't take it.
