Does the iDCT algorithm effect the CPU speed during encoding? I've been using IEEE-1180 and I just started using 32-bit SSE/MMX and noticed that Windows is real slow when I encode. I have trouble opening folders and everything hangs-up. I'm encoding 2-pass XviD.
Using Athlon XP Athlon 3200 512 MB cache, FSB333 MHz, Windows XP Pro SP2, 768 MB RAM.
