Hello,
everytime AutoGK wants to run the single pass encoding i got the following error:
Video Compression Error: The source image format is not acceptable (error code -2)
This error occurs after VDubMod was started and the audio file was imported. Directly in front of the final video encoding.
But it is no problem to open the *.avs file in VDubMod. Only if i try to run the script the error appears.
Gordian Knot 2.27 and Gordian Knot Codec Pack 1.9 are used.
Thanks for every hint.

After i reinstalled the Codec Pack it works fine. But if i install DivX 6.2.2 after the Codec Pack the error occurs again. Does anybody knows if there is a problem with the divX codec ?

Yes, from the first page (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=64266):
"VERSION HISTORY
2.27
- fixed compatibility with DivX 6.1.x
- quality based mode respects DXN HT profiles when DivX 6.1.x is used
..."
Divx 6.1 is not 6.2 nor 6.3 :sly:

The fix for me was to turn off the profiles in DivX and use 'unconstrained'.
Edit- Just to clarify, this problem has absolutely nothing to do with AutoGK. I simply opened an AVS clip up in Vdub and attempted a quick encode.

latest DivX should have no problem working with AutoGK.

I still have the described problem. I tried everything but still the same error. For me AutoGK only works with DivX 5.2.1.
So the only thing to solve the prob is to open the *avs file in VDub manually, add the audio file, configure the DivX codec and start the encoding process manually. It seems that this is the way i have to encode it but thats no problem.
So the only question left i have is:
Which Quantizer in the DivX Configuration is equal to the target Quality=60 in AutoGK ?
Thanks for all help.

I don't think that's true.
I had the same "video compression failed. (error code-2)" with "Exception - OPEN AVI" problem.
I tried everything - "proxyoff" option, reinstalling the codecs etc etc. But nothing worked.
Now I have installed DivX 5.2.1 version, and it seems to work. So I don't think AutoGK 2.27 is totally compatible with DivX codec 6.2.5 version (the latest version of the codec). Please take this into account for the next upgrade of AutoGK.
Also, can somebody help me find a DivX installer file for the 6.1.x version. 5.2.1 version seems a little overkill.
Thanks

The Problem with AutoGK and DivX 6.x is the used profile of the DivX Codec like MacAddict already mentioned.
AutoGK uses the Handheld Profile of the Divx Codec. I switched to the High Definition profile and now everything works fine for me.

len0x is the developer of AutoGK; I'd think he would know whether or not it will work.
So I don't think AutoGK 2.27 is totally compatible with DivX codec 6.2.5 version (the latest version of the codec).
Neither AutoGK 2.27 nor DivX 6.2.5 are the latest versions of their respective products.
Please take this into account for the next upgrade of AutoGK.
As has been stated numerous times on this forum as well as on http://www.autogk.me.uk, AutoGK has ceased development.

I found two possibilities to solve the problem.
The first one as described above. Just change the used profile of the DivX Codec.
The second possibility is to enable the standalone support in the hidden settings of AutoGK.
I hope this will help you tima7dm.

Thanks for the suggestion. But I could not find any of the two settings. If possible, could you please elaborate on how to change these settings. Thanks in advance.

Change setting in AutoGK:
Just make everything like everytime in AutoGK and before adding the job press "CTRL+F9".
The Hidden settings are displayed. At the bottom of the right side you can check standalone support.
Change Profile of DivX:
I opened VirtualDub and selected as Compression the DivX Codec. Then click on configure. First page you can change the profile.
