I haven't seen any anime specific guide around (at least updated ones, I could always be wrong), but you should check the RealAnime threads for an easy gui and anime specific settings discussion.

While we're at it, is there a place to start with RA ? I'm quite interested in it (I'm encoding lots of Anime stuff) but reading the whole thread is a bit too much for me and I'm a bit confused with all the setings in RA.

Yup, you heard it straight from the maker itself. :) You don't need to read everything on the thread. The first post should be enough info for you to encode in RA.

I use 1 pass in RealAnime with a quantizer of 24. The output looks good and sizes ranges between 40-100MB depending on the show. :D

Best use bitrate, so filesize is constant. Also, no CQ in RA5 ;)
