Hi, i burned some self-made videos (converted to VOB and so, to have a menu) on a dvd-rw, just to test if it works, quality, such things...

I watched around 1 1/2 hour, then it began. It stopped for a second and i could hear the dvd player reading all the time (noisy a little bit..) then it continued. The minutes faded away and the time between stops and continuing got greater, at one time i waited half a minute and stopped it. Took the DVD out of the drive, it was hot like hell! Waited till it got cold, continued watching, again, stop. It was hot like before! Tried it in the dvd drive in the pc, no problem at all!
Its a micromaxx dvd player combination with VHS. I dont know what to do...you have any advice, why that happens?

Check to make sure the player's vents aren't blocked...

Hi, and welcome to the forum.

I live in a hot country and I put some ... spacers, heighters? between my racked home cinema, dvd player and Sat decoder, 2cm high each time; the rear of my wood rack is sawed for better air circulation.
