nice work :)

for me, an encode codec is worthless, if there isnt an easy app that is stable that can encode with it.

Other projects that offered this got discontinued.

By the way, which resize filter offers the best quality ?

is it lanczos4 or bicubic sharp or ddrffmpeg ?

And finally one thing, the divx 6.3 codec, released 2. august has a major bug: it cant be registered, you get a missing entry in dtu100.dll, named dtuserialrundll.

please release a new build asap :)

lanczos4 offers the sharpest resize, although if you're using very low bitrates I have found that a soft bicubic or bilinear can lead to less artifacting.

...By the way, which resize filter offers the best quality ?Careful; this is asking for opinion, and can sometimes be devisive. As D56K wrote, different tools may be better in different circumstances. You're new here, please re-read Rule #12 (http://forum.doom9.org/forum-rules.htm), it helps us avoid possible problems with Rule #4 (http://forum.doom9.org/forum-rules.htm). Thanks!

No it's not simply opinion ... Avisynth documentaion say that:

"you will get much better-looking results with BicubicResize than with BilinearResize"

"LanczosResize is an alternative to BicubicResize with high values of c about 0.6 ... 0.75 which produces quite strong sharpening. It usually offers better quality (fewer artifacts) and a sharp image."

"Lanczos4Resize is closely related to LanczosResize (correct name: Lanczos3Resize). The latter uses 2*3=6 lobes and the former 2*4=8 lobes to do the resizing. The result is that Lanczos4Resize produces sharper images. Especially usefull when upsizing a clip."

You can make very simple test to compare quality resizing:

Image1=ImageSource("D:\Mes dossiers\Nouveau\image2_1920x1080.bmp")
Image2=XResize(Image1,1280,720)
Image3=XResize(Image2,1920,1080)

compare(Image3,Image1,"RGB","PSNR.log")

Bilinear done 36.2180 dB
Soft Bicubic done 36.9285 dB
Sharp bicubic done 39.5596 dB
Lanczos done 40.2703 dB
Lanczos4 done 40.6810 dB
Spline36 done 39.9999 dB

Lanczos4 (here) seem done slightly better convergence ...
