Hi
Does DVD-RB support new CCE SP2 release? If not, is a support planned soon? And, if I own CCE SP1, is this new version provide superior quality/speed?
Many thanks

I wouldn't expect that very soon as ecl files look completely different.

I'll take a look at it. Is there anything in SP2 that might compel someone to use it instead of SP?

True but usually they changed only a few things, in SP2 nearly everything's different.

No limited frame size on input, eh? Sounds like HD in MPEG2 support... anyone tried it?

[Qouted] "* - Enables to work on 64 bits"
Which is confusing, since custom technology's website states that CCE SP2 only runs in 32-bit mode on a 64-bit platform. So if they simply want to advertise that SP2 will work on Windows X64, that's cool... but considering that my own CCE 2.5 SP runs without a cough on my x64 system, you'd think that they'd also -- for the sake of being honest and fair -- change their advertising for their regular stuff. And if the regular stuff already works (it does)... then what could they have possibly changed about this new $1000 monster that enables them to make this claim as if it's a new thing? I realise that advertising is rarely -- if ever -- a straight-arrow arrangement, but CCE has me scratching my head on this one.

It appears that CCE Basic is going to be maintained. Does that mean the next version/update will be based of SP2?
CCE SP is out of my price league but Basic is good value (tho pity it only does 2 passes and not 3)

I doubt it. But updating DVD-RB for the new format probably won't be a big deal -- just a pain. I get the distinct feeling that they've never heard the terms "configuration control" or "downward compatibility" over there....

its a decent change in ecl. the format is 99% different and they use stupid ways of indicating the avs/avi info like amount of frames (well.. i guess it may make more sense on a programming level for them but doesnt translate well for a layman reading the ecl)

It's on the "To Do" list, that's about all I can say. I've been working other improvements/fixes.
