Swordfish unhackable?

Ok. ripped Swordfish (region 4 paL) then used 1.0.4 b2. (I have ripped about 40 dvds and havent had any probs yet). synch was completely off mark and When I looked at the file name of the cce encoded video file it had ntsc attached to the file name.
Is it possible that DVD2SVCD would confuse a pal dvd with a ntsc dvd?
has anyone else done swordfish and had probs?

I have the same problems as Orbital - Swordfish Region 4 PAL
Synch is so far out it's stupid, got NTSC instead of PAL on field name with first try.

i agree with you all, when i backup swordfish, i get a mega time delay and after about 10 mins in, my picture goes something shocking!
i hope someone finds the answer... oh yeah, mevbo...

OK, here's the easy way to do it.
The first vob file (Vts_02_1.vob) in the PAL version, is an empty file (0kb). Delete this file & rename all the other .vob files in numerical order. (rename 2.vob to 1.vob, 3.vob to 2.vob, etc, etc.)
Once you've done this DVD2SVCD will see it as a PAL movie and run faultlessly.

In this thread there's a PreRelease that should be able to handle 0 sized vob files:

I did the PAL version the other night after experiencing similar problems I ripped with smart ripper and ripped the results with internal routines - I had no synch problems at all.
