First of all thanks for the update!

I ran into a small problem using the later versions of BatchCCEWS, and the only version I got to work again was 0.9.1.6 beta 1 download. The problem is that when I use later builds, CCEFront doesn't run the sizing passes in CCE (CCEFront is opened up, but doesn't run the sizing passes). The CCE window just opens up and sits there with the encode and exit buttons visible. I downgraded to the beta 1 download which I had been using for some time, and CCEFront works again.

First, a big thks for this nice update.

I try this new BatchCCEWS with CCE SP2 trial, and I have a little problem with "Robshot-Bach Multipass (CCE)", the first pass seems to be OK (the creation of the .vaf file) but the others failled.

Some prints screens (don't know if they can help you)

the part that updates the ecl before the second run of robshot bach wasnt reseting the mpv creation to ON for SP2. (so it was just making a better vaf). any who its fixed.

Subtitle delay fixer 0001 up. just applies delay to .sst files . should only be needed for arccos disks done by fixvts. use the delay from the audio in the same VTS as your guide VTS__01_P01...[80166]..English.ac3 for example.. enter that into the Delay part. this is until vsrip/vsconv are updated to handle the delay

Tried 917b4 now. Cannot figure why CCE is crashing like this.

Steel

rolled back to .915beta of batchccews. Still haveing the issue, not sure where its coming from, but cce keeps crashing. anyone have any idea what can cause this?

Steel

Found the problem. avisynth 2.5.7 was causing the cce crashes. rolled back to 2.5.4 and everything is fine

I think i may know what happened there too. I did not reload my jobs file list after changing the setting fo rbatchcce. Maybe thats a bug? It keeps setting for an already loaded list of jobs?

Hello Trahald!

I've tried batchcce 0917 b5 with cce sp2 trial. I choose the
template "ONEPASS (Predictive)". My film was about 3h12min.
The correct bitrate is 2750, but I can only choose 2000 or
3000 from the dropdownlist. Also the dc-precision is greyed out. The Template-Editor don't work.
So I go into the registry to change this values.
Can you change this in the next versions so I can do that
from the GUI?

Thank you

PS: This is a great tool, I've search something a long time.

Is there an easy way to convert ECL project files made for CCE 2.67 to be compatible with CCE 2.70? I'm using a program called BatchCCEWS but it's a bit older and only makes ECL files to CCE 2.67. The resulting files make 2.70 crash. I know there's not a large difference between the two project files, but a couple lines are obviously screwing it up. If someone knows which lines I should change/delete, that would really help me out. Thanks!

Hi! This is a great program, but I can't get it to work with CCE 2.70. I think the ECL files it creates are incompatible as it causes the program to crash when importing. I found if I comment out a bunch of sections the file is then okay. Any plans on updating the program to create CCE 2.70 compatible project files? Thanks!

Trahald
21st January 2007, 01:30
what specific version (ie 2.70.xx.xx -- the xx.xx part)? i have done tons of titles with 2.70. also.. tell me what parts you have to comment out. and a log file would be cool too.

J-Wo

I am using CCE 2.70.02.12. I have finally narrowed it down to three lines which are causing CCE to crash, commenting or deleting them from the ecl solves the problem:

gop_m=0
gop_nm=0
encode_first=8975935844196024320

I have no idea where that weird number for encode_first comes from (the line above is frame_first=0, which is correct).

comes from bad programming ;) i probably have a variable i never set to 0. althoguh it should be picking up the proper value before the ecl is written. encode_first is usually 0. (iirc) gop_m=3 gop_nm=4 for ntsc . gop_nm=5 for pal

Hi Trahald,

with all CCE SP2 Versions (until .18) I get an error as shown in the test-picture.
Every 4:3 encode has a black stream on the bottom of the picture with the 0.9.17b5 on w2ksp4+.
This with every template and with Avisynth 2.57+2.58 alpha.
This error never happens with the CCE SP 2.70 series.

Could you look at this ?

Same problem with me...
before formatting it seemed to work perfect with SP2 and 0.9.1.7b5, but now, without change of settings (even in dif4u and scenaid) it results in this black block on the bottom.

i looked at the ecl-settings in cce and seen in the 'area setting' under Frame size, that the values for 'Region of Interest (w,h)' for input and output file are set to 720, 480, but the video is PAL, so 720x576.
now 96 pixels (up to the 576 horizontal pixels at PAL-sources) from the bottom are blanked.

i have no idea why this is done... i looked at the settings in all programs i'm using before batchcce but couldn't find anything that causes this.
when i drag&drop the .avs to sp2 this setting is not changed so it has to be an error while the ecl-file is created.

Hi Trahald,

with the newly released Version of CCE SP2 1.00.01.01 (http://www.cinemacraft.com/jpn/download.html#sp2) (21.02.08) the black border problem is still there as shown in the pic above.
Maybe it is easier to find a solution for BatchCCEWS with this new release ?

What do you think, Trahald, could there be hope ?
:thanks: for listening to this. :)

I confirm that batchccews keeps on putting encode_first field not zero but a big number...any way to solve this apart from manually editing the ecl file and running cce manually?

Fact is, even by setting it up to 0 cce can run correctly the first pass (vaf) but when it start the first pass of the multipass process just crashes...

any clue?

here is the ecl generated by batchccews

Thks a lot for this new beta.

But I have a little problem with this version.
I have selected 9 pass on the soft but only 2*1 pass have been processed (not 1 pass for analysis and then 9 pass for encoding)

Anyone have the same problem?

I am running 0.9.1.7 beta 5 and CCE 2.67.00.23 under vista 64. I keep getting weird errors where cce hangs at 100%, and batchccews doesnt continue due to the hang. Is the a better version of cce that works under vista to eliminate this hanging issue? It is as if vista doesnt recognize that cce is supposed to close out or something.

When running with BatchCCEWS versions newer than 9.0.1.6beta1 I have this problem, including 9.0.1.7 beta 6:

- when using ccefront method, the estimation encode passes go on for ever without converging on a final Q. It starts with 32, then 7, then 5 , 4, 3, 2, ..200? ....and on.

- i see what appears to be a problem with the .ecl file that is being passed to ccefront. there is a huge number for encode_first. (this value is 0 when using 9.0.1.6beta1)

I'm trying to backup an interlaced music video DVD9. At the end of the video, there's credits running horizontally across the screen. That I found is the worst possible for CCE. The credits flicker very badly on the backup DVD5.

Since Procoder is known for handling interlaced video well and can output field structure, I gave it a shot with BatchCCEWS. I found that BatchCCEWS cannot parse the d2v generated by DGIndex (I have scenaid set to recreate d2v/AVS with DGDecode. Average bitrate for this video should be 4730kbps. However, BatchCCEWS would find bitrate of 17000+kbps for first few couple of segments and the rest it found bitrate of 0 (the video has 24 chapters/segments). So the first few segments would be encoded with bitrate ~7000kbps and the rest with 100kbps.

If I don't set scenaid to recreate d2v/AVS, BatchCCEWS handles the d2v generated by DVD2AVIdg just fine. For now, I'll use this workaround but I want to give a heads up.

Thanks.
