Vendetta - No voices

Bought a copy of V for Vendetta today, brought it home, popped it into the DVD player on my second computer (media computer), and hit play. The menu works, the picture is great, but there is no voice track. All I hear is the background music.

Since I've already opened it, I can't return it. I don't own a standalone DVD player or a TV, I don't need to since I have a second computer with a TV card and a DVD drive.

I need your help to rip a working copy of this movie, so that I haven't just flushed $30 down the toilet. I've tried AnyDVD, no luck. DVD Decrypter, no luck. Can anyone help?

Welcome to doom9. Long time to wait for your first post (4 years!!!) :)

If the disk is actually defective, of course you can return it. But it doesn't sound like an issue, really a setting on your player, or even a loose connection from your sound card to a speaker.

Anyway, RipIt4Me (http://www.ripit4me.org/) rips this without a problem.

Try playing another DVD on the same system, to see if you have the same problem...

Neat little program, it worked on Vendetta first time.
I like the way it intragrates with DVDD and Shrink.
Better get it fast before someone makes it unavailable.:(

Back here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=114220), you had a thread closed about ripping a rented Vendetta.

Here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=114260), you reckon it wouldn't happen again.

And above, you plainly say you have copied it with RipIt4Me (http://www.ripit4me.org/)!!!
