This seems like a good place to ask this!
I have discovered the benefits of the DVDShrink plugin for PGCEdit. However, I have one question that I can't seem to find discussed anywhere...
When using the "Redo Authoring" feature of the plugin, a strange thing happens to the final result...
All of the chapters disappear from the display features of any set-top dvd player. I don't mean to say they're removed... they're not. You can still forward and reverse through the chaps, it just doesn't "show" them in the display properties of the title. (CH 2/20, etc.)
Here's the kicker! The timecode is gone as well. Instead of seeing the minutes and seconds tick by on the front of a player, all that is shown is the word "play" through the entire title. I've seen other DVDs (Professional ones) authored this way, usually when episodic content is involved.
My question, basically, is this... is this supposed to happen? If not, can it be changed?
