Does anyone know about the factors which decided the value of Sync Byte to be 0x47.

0x47 = 01000111. AFAIK, however you rotate the bits on this byte string, it will never be equal to the original. So you can detect the begining of a frame (sync point) by searching the stream for this byte (sync byte) (more info) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binary_Synchronous_Communications).
