do you know this movie???:
around 1980-1985 (not sure), a type of alien plant travels in space and "LAND" on earth.

the plant grows up and take your body if you go sleep to close of.
evrybody in the town is scared to fall asleep, but aliens(in a human apperance) say that to be an alien is so good. no feeling, no dream, no wishes...and all you have to do is to make a siesta!!!!

(alien dont sleep, they walk like zombie 24h a day)

any idea?

"Invasion of the Body Snatchers" (1978) did indeed have a scene of a dog with a human head. If I'm remembering correctly, it was some homeless guy who could only get one pod for both him and his dog.
