Hello,

I am new to this type of encoding. For years, I have been going from avi to dvd. But now I want to go from .vob to .avi. I've used AutoGK to convert my music videos dvd to avi (Xvid). But when I burn it as data onto a DVD+RW to test on my Phillips Divx Certified player. The picture looks really really BAD !! It's very blocky and alot of color distortion. It looks like all the colors are blend in...It plays fine on my computer. Please help. What did I do wrong ?

Thanks

Phillips players usually use the ESS chipsets from ESS Technologies. So retry your encode after enabling the ESS standalone support. It is under the Hidden Options (Ctrl+F9).

EDIT: and oh, :search: to know more about the standalone/ESS malarkey. Plenty of threads on this.

thanks for the info. It's the ESS setting that I forgot to set.

Thanks
