hi, im quite new to these things but not a -complete- newbie, but i recently entered the world of HD video's, and to my exitment i found out that my new gfx card (radeon x1800XT) has hardware support for decoding H.264/AVC video . but to my suprise i see that i must purchase the * Cyberlink H.264/AVC "player" * , so right now im just "using" the trial ...

but i cant get this to work, at all, i tried it in both MPC and mediaplayer10 (< in wmp10 it adds an ATI skin, but does this whether its decoding h.264 or not, and i can see its clearly not decoding it) , im using haili media splitter and i also tried the mkv splitter thats in mpc, neither worked, i also had an x264 file that was in an avi and it also gave the same error, i have been ,mesing with this for days and im getting extremly frustrated that it wont work , yes i can play x264 fine using ffdshow and/or nero (nero seems to be best at it for some reason ), but i have hardware support for decoding including hardware accelerated post proccessing, so i wanna use it , but just cant >_<

any help on this would be greatly appreciated as im tearing my hair out right about now, i add 2 screenshots of the errors below, strangly GE doesnt even connect the video stream to anything ...

i have the latest catalyst drivers with WMV support enabled , and winxp with SP2 and dx9c , amd64 3000+ 1gb ram dual channel, radeon x1800xt
