Sometimes being a newbie involves a lot of humiliation.
Case in point, I’m not even sure of the proper terms to describe the condition of my vhs DV-Avi capture.
So here I am again, humbly begging for help.
I’m trying to attach some cropped screen-grabs, hope they work. And I had to compress to jpeg to meet file-size, so I hope you can still actually see some detail.
Note the blurring of color around the shrubbery, and down the side of the Hero, bleeding into the blue of the sky.
Is this what is called color-bleed?
It is most extreme in sequences shot against that vibrantly blue sky
(I think of it as “postcard azure”)
Other sections show a lot of strong edge-enhancement white halos.
I can live with the white halos, but the dark color blurring for some reason is more irritating.
I've learned my way around VDubMod a tiny bit.
Can someone advise me please –
is there any way to subdue it at least a little bit?
Can you recommend a *simple* AviSynth script, or a VirtualDub filter?
Thanks for any help ---
