The DVD Im trying to back up is region two and is 7.44 GB in size. I ripped it to my HD and used the HC encoder with DVD Rebuilder Pro to shrink it to size. When It had finished I found that the files that this process had yielded were a total of 4.39 GB in size. I deleted these and tried again using QuEnc. When this process finished it left files that had a total of 4.82 GB in size. Please help. I posted the Rebuilder.log and Rebuilder.ini files

Wow 6 GB ILVU parts that's a lot and maybe a reason for oversizing.
I can't see QuEnc in your logs but a failing CCE attempt, probably because of wrong setting, I guess it's CCE SP (trial) instead of yours (CCE SP).
My recommendation is also to give RB's Matrix Editor (http://dvd-rb.dvd2go.org/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=24) a go and pick one of the low bitrate matrices.

I've done those discs before. They were the main reason I made the ILVU segments transient -- almost the entire disc is ILVU.

ugh, the pain!
the R1 discs are the same (but NTSC)
i'd dearly like to re-author this for PAL with speedup, but the edits are a random mix of 30p and 60i in telecined animation, so there's no graceful way to do it (yet), and i haven't the time :(
i even tried burning DVD-9s, but couldn'd find a good layer break (are these PTP discs??)

How do you make the ILVU segments sentient? I don't really understand the matrix editor. Could someone post a link to a guide for it? Which matrix is suitable for this job? Sorry to be a pain in the hole, but I really want this to work.
