Hello,
first of all, I am a newbie in when it comes to encoding, but I have looked and read very intensely in this forum. I have a few questions however:
I am trying to rip and encode my Seinfeld (region code 1) with Xvid.
1. First I tried it with Gordian Knot (not AutoGK!) according to this tutorial: http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/gknot-main4.htm
It worked so far, but the result had a HUGE asynchronous audio - ca. 8 secs after the video. I doublechecked the parameter according to the above tutorial, no improvement. Just for testing purpose I tried AutoGK accoding to the tutorial http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/autogk.htm and now everything worked?!?! I tried the vob-files that I ripped with AutoGK in my normal GK and all of a sudden it worked with it, too. Apparently Robot4Rip (from the turorial) is ripping not right or different? Like I said, if I rip with DVD Decrypter, everything works fine.....
2. If I play my AutoGK Rips on my Philips standalone Player, I get huge graphic errors. This is hard to describe - I see the movie, but I have blocks that are totally wrong colors and movement in the film results in massive traces. On my PC everything works just fine. How can that be?
3. Is it possible to batch the ripping and encoding? Especially when it comes to TV series DVDs, it is a huge effort to rip and encode them one after another ... is that possible?
Thanks for your help!!
