:confused: gave this a go with one pass, the quality was great.
The film was 99mins,it filled the first cd but the second had only
120mb on it. That means theres something wrong with the bitrate calculator.Should this work automatic or do I have to do something in this menu.

I know what I did wrong.I thought that the calculator was automatic and it picked up the mins from the ifo file.

Hi Flash,

there is nothing wrong with the bitrate calculator (it IS automatic and completely functional. Surely you did 1passVBR with Qfactor=60. The 1passVBR is Qfactor dependent - as bigger it is, most compressed is the movie - and, if it is bigger than 10, it is almost impossible to use ANY bitrate calculator to predict the file size. If you want to use a faster encoding, try 1passVBR with Q=1. You can use CBR also.

This is what I did the first time,I left this menu alone(see pic)
The second time I looked at (A) (my movie was 99 mins)looked at the bitrate in (B) then but that bitrate value in (C) with 2pass vbr.
Iam I doing this right?
