Newbie DVD Decrypter help

OK, I'm trying to burn a DVD and no matter what kind of DVD-R I use, it says Incompatilbe meduim installed. I've searched the forum and saw that maybe I just needed to make sure everything on my computer is updated. So, I went to the Dell site and updated everything and it still doesn't work. Any ideas? Is my burning gone out?

you could delete the drive with device manager then reboot the pc and it will be reinstalled just incase youve messed it up sum how

If not:

2) Are you sure your system has a DVD burner?

3) Have you tried DVD+R media instead of DVD-R media?
