View Full Version : Authoring Main Menu for 2 DVDs With Existing Menus

I took a 2-DVD video and used DVD-Rebuilder to make 2 dvds in half-d1 with menus (but no extras). By tweaking the rebuilder.ini file, I made disk one 2 gigs and disk two 1.6 gigs. I am hoping to make a compilation with a total size of about 4 gigs.

Can you give me some suggestions for making a master menu that has either a still background with some music or a small .mpg background that will allow me to select either disk one or disk two, and then use the existing menus created by DVD-Rebuilder to navigate within each disk (track)?

My only experience so far with dvd authoring is the basic TMPGEnc DVD Author, and it will not allow me to use the existing menus for each disk, it wants to re-author everything. Thanks.

EDIT -- Upon further reflection, I am guessing that all of the pointers in the menu for Disk Two would be inaccurate if it was combined with a preceding track. Is that right? Would I need to change all of the navigation data in the existing menus for Disk Two to make this work?

When I imported the titles, the existing menus wouldn't import. The title menu I made worked fine and linked to the two tracks, which became vts_01 and vts_02. Any way to get the former title menus of the two tracks to become root menus for the new compilation?
